Plan – Saksham 2014 Review

Team Relocations exceeded its 2014 target of funding 189 young people in India for job oriented vocational training programmes.

A variety of events held including auctions, jumble sales, yoga classes and bake-off’s raised enough money to help a further 13 young people into Saksham training programmes, increasing the total number of youth helped last year to 202. The training programmes provided them with access to entrepreneurship, opportunities for promotion and self-employment.

Proud father of Saksham alumni, Manisha, shares how the project helped his family:

My daughter has inspired the girls in our family and also other girls in the community. She now works at the big shopping mall and supports the family. She has made our family proud, I want others to follow in her footsteps, Saksham has changed her life.
