BRAZIL: New regulations set procedures for remaining immigration categories

Effective immediately, three additional regulations have been published by the Brazilian Ministry of Justice.  These immigration routes were not previously included by the New Immigration, Regulatory Decrees and Normative Resolutions that we previously covered in ReloTalk.

These new regulations (Portarias 3, 4 e 5) cover all the requirements and procedures for the following categories: Initial and renewal applications for students, interns (summer jobs), family reunion applicants, health related travel, refugees and others that were not specifically covered by the new immigration law and decrees.

How does this affect the client?

All applicants in the categories not previously covered by the new immigration law and decrees may now proceed with their applications.  Please consult your immigration specialist to assist you in making your application.
