CHINA: Visa free transit to be offered soon in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei

International travellers from 53 countries transiting through China will soon be allowed to enter one of the above cities for a maximum stay of six days without obtaining a visa. Foreign travellers are likely to be required to provide an onward ticket including dates, seats and possible visas for their destination countries. The visa-free transit policy has already been introduced earlier in Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Guangdong and is expected to be implemented Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei later this year. 

How does this affect the client? 

After implementation, expats transiting through China could consider to stay in one of the visa-free cities in order to avoid visa obtainment. During the visa free transit stay business activities are not allowed.
