DENMARK:  New Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI)

As of 1 April 2019, the State Administration (IR) will be an integrated part of SIRI. This means that there will be only one entity and portal for all International Recruitments in Denmark, whether they come from an EU or NON-EU country. IR will still be present at the address in Ny Ellebjerg until it moves into the same building as SIRI in Copenhagen (Valby) during the summer 2019.

Five International Citizen Centres (ICS)

As of 1 April 2019 there will be a total of five ICS centres in Denmark (Copenhagen, Aarhus, Aalborg, Odense and  Aabenraa).

•You can submit biometrics at all five centers

It will be possible to get a return entry permit

You will be able to make an appointment in the integrated booking system in all five centres for EU registration as well as for getting the Danish social security number (CPR-number).

Online applications for pre-approval axed

As of 1 April 2019, relocation companies, universities and other selected companies will no longer be able to submit online applications for pre-approval

•Instead, all simple EU applications will be processed immediately at the counter when handed in in person, provided that all documentation is in order

•For more complicated cases (i.e. the accompanying family come from a NON-EU country) the case will be processed at the counter and the applicant will be informed of which missing documents must be submitted later (via an online contact form).

What does this mean for the client?

The good news is that all fast track biometrics and provisional permits are no longer restricted to SIRI in Copenhagen, spo will be more convenient for th applicant to make their way to a nearer ICS centre.

Processing times are expected to decrease since
