FRANCE: Employers incur new fees for posted workers

Employers of posted workers (sent by their employer to provide services in other EU Member States) will be subject to a 40 Euro administrative fee, per each employee. The administrative fee will be put into force by Ministry order, however in the absence of the order, the fee will automatically go into effect 1 January 2018.

How does this affect the client?

Employers posting workers on temporary assignment will have to pay the new administrative fee online when they file the posted worker notification.  If the employer does not file the posted worker notification, the contracting company must file an online subsidiary declaration with the local labour department instead, incurring the administrative fee.
