TURKEY: Registered E-mail Address (REM) account and e-signature required for work permit applications

It has been recently announced by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security that companies applying for work permits will be required to have a REM (Registered E-mail Address) Account for all types of work permit applications. This e-mail account will be then used during the application process.

Additionally, in order to ensure the security and integrity of submitted data, it will be mandatory for the companies to file the applications with e-signature.

If the applying company has no REM Account and provide documents without e-signature, their applications will not be accepted.

How does this affect the client?

The date when this new regulation comes into effect has not yet been announced, and it may take up to one year before it becomes effective.

Team Relocations will update you as soon as the effective date is released.
