UNITED STATES: Regular visa issuance resumes in Turkey and The United States

In October Turkey and The United States temporarily stopped issuing non-immigrant visas in each others countries following the arrest of a US consulate worker in Turkey.  Visa processing began again on a limited basis in November.  However, recently both countries have posted statements that effective immediately all restrictions have been lifted and that normal visa issuance will resume at Turkish and American diplomatic posts.

Applicants may experience delays as it is expected that officials will have a backlog of applications to process.
