Not every family that relocates with us chooses to sell their current property. You may not be ready to part with it, as you may not choose to live in the country to which you are relocating forever. Whether you’ve decided to sell or let your existing home, and buy or rent in your new country, Team Relocations can help you with every step of the process.

Tenancy negotiation

Negotiating tenancy agreements in an unfamiliar country is a daunting prospect and requires expert help. Our dedicated tenancy management specialists can advise on all relevant legal aspects as well as manage the negotiation process.

Here’s what our tenancy management specialists can do for you:

  • Manage all rental and miscellaneous payments

Inventory check-in/out

If you’re letting your property, keeping an up-to-date inventory is vital if you want to ensure you are not left out of pocket. This is a task we can take off your hands, as we will provide detailed inventories complete with digital photographs and full appliance/furniture inspections. We will also manage dilapidation claims and the recovery of the deposit.

Furniture and appliance rental

We can source a variety of rental furniture and appliances at a competitive cost, so you never have to be without the essentials. This is ideal if you need a short-term solution while you’re waiting for your own furniture to arrive, or you simply prefer the convenience of hiring furniture.

All items are delivered to your new home and installed where necessary, too.

Temporary accommodation

Alternatively, if your new home isn’t ready in time for whatever reason, you may require temporary accommodation. Providing so much more than a hotel room, our serviced apartments come fully furnished and offer a 24-hour concierge desk, regular maid service and various leisure and recreational facilities.

Departure programmes

We will assist in undertaking all property-related pre-departure requirements to minimise dilapidation charges and facilitate the swift return of the deposit. These requirements include:

  • Issuing notice on the property
  • Arranging inventory check-out
  • Transfer of utilities
  • Dilapidation management and negotiations
  • Moving services
  • Return of deposit

Home sale management

We take the sale of your existing house off your hands, by handling every part of the process. Our service aims to ensure your home sells quickly for the best possible price. We manage:

  • The marketing strategy
  • Conveyancing
  • Maintenance of vacant property
  • Estate agent selection and fee negotiation
  • Local market house price analysis

Property management (home location)

Team Relocations can also manage vacant properties, so there is no need to worry about the condition of your old home declining between rental periods. Our property management service includes:

  • Appointing and monitoring letting agents
  • Negotiating terms of lease and renewals
  • Monitoring rental payments and accounting records
  • Arranging property maintenance

Guaranteed home sale programme

In the UK, Team Relocations offers a range of guaranteed home sale programmes, which gives you the means to purchase a property in the country to which you’re relocating. We will give you a guaranteed sale price for your home and release the funds early to you. This allows you to relocate without the stress and worry of having to sell a house.

As part of our service, we arrange property insurance cover when you move out of your old home. We are appointed representatives of Castlemead Insurance Brokers Limited, who are authorised and regulated by the FCA. You can view our Vacant Property Insurance policy here.

In mainland Europe, our non-funded home sale programmes can help you sell your property faster, but there is no price guarantee attached.

Storage solutions

Whether you’re shipping your favourite pieces of furniture or a family heirloom to your new destination, you’ll want to ensure they’re going to be safe upon arrival. Our variety of cost-effective storage solutions are perfect for keeping important possessions secure whilst you wait to move them into a new property.

We have a range of containers with flexible rental periods to suit all needs. In countries with extreme weather conditions, our facilities are climate-controlled with air conditioning and heating where necessary.

All Team Relocation facilities are monitored 24/7 and fitted with alarms, so you can be sure your possessions will be looked after.

Property Redress Scheme 

Team Relocations is a member of the government authorised Property Redress Scheme for residential property in England. The purpose of this is to give our customers an escalated complaints procedure if you are unhappy with how any complaint relating to residential property matters has been dealt with by us. 

Team Relocations has a complaints handling and escalation procedure and you should refer any complaint directly to your Client Manager or their Line Manager. If your complaint is not resolved satisfactorily you have the option to refer it to the Property Redress Scheme, details of which, including the complaint raising process, can be found below. 

Please note that this scheme operates in England only and does not currently cover Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland.
