JAPAN: Global Indian International School opens second campus in Tokyo

Global Indian International School (GIIS), has announced the launch of its second campus in Tokyo. The opening comes as a direct response to strong demand from expatriate and Japanese families desiring exceptional international education for their children.

The original Tokyo campus was founded in 2006 to cater to expatriate Indian communities in Tokyo, however the student body demographics have diversified over the years, welcoming increasingly more non-Indian students.

The new Higashi Kasai Secondary Campus, located approximately three kilometres from the original Tokyo campus in Nishi Kasai, serves as a secondary school campus for all GIIS Tokyo students in grades 4-12, and is open for Japanese, expatriate and Indian students. GIIS welcomes all families seeking a high quality international curriculum for their children, which meets the highest standards of mathematics, science, IT education and English, which is taught as the first language.

GIIS delivers internationally recognized curricula, including Cambridge IGCSE and the Indian Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). In addition, the school will offer courses in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) curriculum beginning in 2019. Offering international certifications like IGCSE and IB enables GIIS students to apply for admission to Japanese universities as well as international universities after graduation.
