GERMANY: Changes to Intercompany Transferee (ICT Card) applications

The Federal Employment Agency has made some changes to the corporate information requirement for ICT (Intercompany Transferee) Card applications. Companies are now required to provide the following information:

  • The number of leave days per year that the employee is allowed; 
  • The gross monthly salary of comparable local employees in the local entity;
  • Social security payment compliance;
  • Other corporate information, e.g. whether insolvency proceedings have been initiated in the past five years and if the initiation of any insolvency proceedings has been denied for lack of assets within the last five years.

How does this affect the client?

It is advisable that employers start collecting all the required documentation as soon as possible.
