POLAND: Number of jobs exempt from labour market testing

A new regulation concerning non-EU foreign national workers came into effect from 1 July 2018.

The labour market testing requirement has now been removed for nearly 200 new jobs in industries such as information technology, healthcare, construction and transportation. This means that applicants for work permits in jobs that are covered by the waiver will no longer need to obtain approval from their local labor office before submitting work permit applications, which shortens the application process by 21 days.

The regulation applies also to applications that were pending as of 1 July.

How does this affect the client?

Affected foreign nationals should benefit from faster processing. Those employers who are unsure whether a specific job is covered by the new regulation should contact their immigration professionals.
