QATAR: Exit permit requirement ends

Previously, for employees to depart Qatar for business or personal reasons, they had to go through the exit visa procedure.
The abolishment of this rule  is a welcome change that will provide foreign nationals increased freedom and ease of movement, alongside helping to reduce the administrative burden for sponsoring companies.
There are still cases where the Qatari government will expect permission to be requested and granted before an employee can leave the country, but this is subject to their nature of work (no more than 5 percent of the workforce).

How does this affect the client?

Both employers and employees will benefit from the ease and freedom of movement, for personal or business reasons.
