SAUDI ARABIA: Foreign engineers now able to register online

The Saudi Council of Engineers has launched a new online platform and process, to enable foreign engineers to complete mandatory registration procedures before applying for a work visa.

Here, engineers can register and upload academic and professional qualifications/ supporting documents, along with paying the registration fee online, to obtain temporary membership in the Saudi Council of Engineers, before proceeding with work authorization requirements.

This will be a welcomed improvement to the visa process, especially as engineers are facing stricter eligibility criteria than ever before (e.g. a mandatory five years' experience and passing the Saudi Council of Engineers' professional exam).
